Heading to Haiti

I am so glad that Haitian President Rene Preval met with President Obama today at the White House.

Although there are many issues and contention, we must look forward.

In less than six hours, I will be boarding a flight from DCA to Haiti. 

Besides my backpack, I will be carrying a piece of important equipment for the monastery - a laptop projector.

You will not find a tap-tap in front of the airport. You will have to walk about 5 to 10 minutes to get a tap-tap that is going to Route de Delmas.  

At Route de Delmas you will catch a tap-tap going to Lalue (that is if everything is the same as before the earthquake).

From Lalue you can catch a cab to go to 2nd limit Turgeau where the monastery of the Holy Cross fathers ( Maison des Peres de Sainte Croix) is located. 

Once you get to 2nd limit turgeau, ask anybody for the Maison des Peres de Sainte Croix where you will ask for Pere Firto Regis.  However, please call first.  You may be able to make a phone call for a dollar on the street because a lot of people do that type of business on the street. Again, Father Regis' phone number is (509) 3831-8661. Good luck to you.
